That’s right, in case you were unaware, there is a global competition for the ability to grow and style facial hair, and what’s more, it was this past weekend. David Traver (right) took home gold with what I’m told is a “snowshoe style” beard, which took him 2 years to grow. Check out awe inducing images from the event here and here, which I believe rivals Adam’s earlier claim that the commons at flickr has the best collection of beards.
Next competition will be held in Trondheim, Norway in 2011, so stop shaving now.
