Okay, so it’s not quite as high-tech as an installation by UVA, but this set up for the White Rabbits track “Percussion Gun” provides an awesome aesthetic using what appear to be pretty standard lights and fixtures. Granted, I haven’t actually listened to the track, my work computer doesn’t have speakers, but I will give credit to director Andrew Droz Palermo for creating a visual hook in what would have otherwise been a pretty standard looking performance video. Edit: Thanks to reader TriedandTrue for the tip-off to an awesome collection of photos from the video shoot. You can actually see how simple the setup is; a collection of power bars and 100-watt bulbs with PVC pipe spray-painted black for the frame.
