Fondation Cartier of Paris, made this awesome site, which analyses Paris grafitti tags letter by letter. I came across this through infosthetics, a blog dedicated to data visualizations (Adam would be proud), which is worthy of a post on its own. Check them both out.

I like exploded views; even when they are black and white and tell me how to put together furniture, I still think they look cool. The work above comes from an exhibit by Damián Ortega. Although not all of the works are assemblages, they certainly offer the overload of detail that makes some technical drawings so captivating.

When I was a kid these were some of my favorite books. As a recent convert to electonic music, I’ve found it a bit hard to get oriented in the many-genred electronic scene. Staying in tune with Convoke’s love for public broadcasting, I came across the BBC’s Essential Mix, which is a weekly show featuring a 2 hour set from a big name DJ. The show is hosted by Pete Tong, a DJ legendary enough to have a piece of cockney rhyming slang and a movie as namesakes. You can easily torrent most essential mixes, or stream them all at the wiki page.

Tired of drawing all over your Chucks? Now you can color in STYLE with these dresses created by Berber Soepboer. I suppose you could really color any black and white pattern with fabric markers, but encouraging it with ample white space is a great idea.
