There are two known facts about high powered laser pointers, they’re expensive, but AWESOME. The little known fact is that, with the right know-how, you can amp up your cheap one into a match-lightin’, balloon-poppin’, leather-etchin’, rad-sauce version. Wired has this short and simple tutorial on how to do just that. So get on it.
Why stick with the stoic old two handed clock? Asprial Clocks takes it up a notch with the truly unique spiral formed clock. Unfortunately at £350 it might not be the most affordable, any inspiring clock makers out there want to make me one?
Interesting diagram on the left, of the worlds oldest trees. The list is dominated by tree colonies, which, in my opinion, aren’t as sweet as single ancient trees. The oldest single tree on record is a bristlecone pine named Prometheus, which we cut down, of course. However, Prometheus is survived by another bristlecone named Methusela, which currently occupies top spot on the oldest-single-living-thing chart at about five thousand years. It’s location is secret, but it probably looks like the bristlecone pictured above, and if I were hiking along and found THAT tree, I would definitely guess that it was special. Whether I’d guess it was older than the pyramids…
You may or may not have noticed that things have kind of slowed down here on CONVOKE for the last few months, and if you’ve seen our latest project, you might have guessed why. Not only was the video a massive undertaking, but it also represents a shift in focus here at CONVOKE. We’re not going to flat-out stop posting cool tech and design finds, but we’re going to try and start producing our own unique content.
And, as far as first tries go, Get Lich or Die Tryin’ has been an astronomical success, so far. With over 40,000 (and climbing) views in just two days, it has definitely caught people’s attention. The video has been popping up all over the internet, so we cataloged the best of the best right here for you.

YouTube.com -I don’t know exactly how YouTube ranks videos, but we were on the “most viewed” page for a while today. Here’s proof! Then I, foolishly, edited our video info, which apparently causes YouTube to yank you out of the running for a bit. Epic fail.
And last, but not least, I received an email today from a Blizzard employee who shall remain nameless. It’s short, but sweet.
