Toy collectors rejoice, Hello, Brute (aka Jon Knox) is here to fix your Munny blues. Jon creates custom toys and hand paints them in his shop. He also has a nice collection of print art as well. Don’t forget to check out his store, there’s some great items available. Check out more of Hello, Brute over at (the ever prevalent) flickr.

Even though she claims that these flowers look like breasts, Jessica Doyle’s work won’t do anything but arouse your mind. Her works are very organic in nature, while still keeping things geometric. If you’re looking for wares of her art, check out her etsy shop for prints and stationary.

CHOCOLATE PIE CHART

Submitted by on April 11, 2009 Design

cpc_01So, we’ve had Indexed on here already. Matt and Mary are taking it to the next level. There are charts and infographics floating all over the net, but these cats make it so much realer. More real, if you will.

Featuring the perfect proportion of milk, dark, and white chocolate (70, 20, 10, respectively) this choco-chart is sure to satisfy your craving for sweets and raw statistics.

Matt Lyon’s (aka C86) vector art is something to be seen. Creating whimsical structures and scenes, his use of color is anything but boring. You can check out more of Matt at his Flickr or check out his threadless interview.

Dreams of Flying

Just some photos of kids doing impossibly sweet things. Goes to show how much you can accomplish by forcing your kids to wear costumes and lie on the ground in bizarre poses with strange props. Yikes that sentence  was an uncomfortable one.

In other news, twitter just keeps blowin up. Is it fully-blown at this stage? Probably.

Don’t think I need to say anything about this one; it’s best just to let Malin Abrahamsson’s work speak for itself. The left panel alone is enough to make grown men weep like babies.

Derringer Cycles

Derringer Cycles are my future form of transportation. Looking like a cross between an old WWI Triump Messenger and a bicycle, these things have more style than a cover of GQ. Most notable about their design is the ability to pedal the bike (making it a moped in some countries) meaning when you’ve forgot to refill or just can’t afford gas this week you’ve still got a way to get to mom’s for dinner your girlfriend’s house.

All-In-One Card Stamp

I’m not really a “card guy”. In fact, it blows my mind that there’s a thriving entire industry built on pre-packaged sentiment. But maybe Hallmark has just never been simple enough for my tastes. With that, I present you with the All-In-One Card Stamp. Got an occasion to celebrate? Just stamp this bad-boy down on some loose-leaf, check the appropriate box, and boom; you’re done.

ROOM 4 RENT

Submitted by on April 6, 2009 Projects

r4rrA little bit of blatant self-promotion here, but I need a roommate pretty badly.  “How badly?” you ask?  Let’s just say if I don’t find someone by May, I’m dead meat.  We’re a pretty laid back group of individuals, but there’s one aspect we won’t compromise on: absolutely no zombies.

None.

Zero.

I don’t care if you’re only 1/16th zombie on your mother’s side, you won’t be stepping foot inside my safehouse.

If you’re sure that you’re not undead, and you’re interested in a room in the London, Ontario area, check out this listing.

EDIT: Hi Kotaku!  Thanks to Luke for the gracious writeup.  I’ve had a few people email me, asking if I was serious.  This is a real advertisement for a real room.  No, we’re not all gamers, but everyone has a good sense of humour and can appreciate the joke.  I’m putting the sign up this morning.   I wonder how long it will be before somebody steals it?

Tank!

smallJust to keep you on the Olly Moss tip, here’s a recent bit of his work up on inPRNT.  Available in three sizes, I personally find this little number rather inspiring just on its own. It might just lead you to discover some other things worth scoping out.
